The Ultimate Blind Box Gift Guide — What to Buy for Every Personality
Buying a gift for someone who loves cute things is easy. Buying the right gift is the hard part. Do they want pastel and sparkly, or dark and a little bit strange? Are they a cat person, a Pokémon person, or the friend whose shelf is already full of SKULLPANDA?
That's why blind boxes make such a good present. Each one is a small, sealed surprise: you know the series, but not which character is inside. The unboxing becomes part of the gift, and because most single boxes sit between €10 and €35, you can pick something thoughtful without overthinking it. And if you're shopping for a real collector, a sealed box you chose for them is far more fun than a gift card.
This guide matches a personality to a collection, so you can find a gift in a few minutes. Every pick below is in stock at Fifilandtoys right now, with prices so you can plan your budget.
How to use this guide
Start with the person, not the product. Scroll to the personality that sounds most like them, and you'll find the series that fit, a few concrete picks at different price points, and a link to the full collection. If they fit two categories (a gothic cutie who also loves cats, say), pick the one they talk about most. At the bottom there's a quick budget guide and a note on how we pack gifts.
🌸 For the Kawaii Girly
Who she is: her phone case is pink, her desk has at least one plushie on it, and she has opinions about which Sanrio character she is. She loves soft colours, bows, strawberries, and anything that could be described as "so cute I could cry".
What to buy: Sanrio, Miffy, Sonny Angel, Nommi, and Lovely Emma are the safe bets. They all share that sweet, pastel aesthetic, and most come as plush pendants she can hang on a bag.
- Under €20: Sanrio Sweet Strawberry Series Plush Pendant Blind Box (€14.99) – twelve strawberry-themed Sanrio characters, so there's a real chance of pulling her favourite. The Sonny Angel Hippers Dreaming Series (€18.99) is the classic "stick him on your phone" gift.
- Under €35: Miffy x Vipo Macaron Series 2 Plush Blind Box (€22.99) is perfect for the Dutch girly, and Nommi Puppy Diary Series Plushie Keychain (€22.99) is the series everyone is asking for this year.
- Splurge: the Nommi Mushroom Hat 400% Plush Doll (€69.99) is a big, huggable centrepiece for her shelf.
Not sure which series? The Kawaii Girly Lucky Bag (from €29.99 for 2 boxes) lets us pick a curated mix for you. Browse everything in the Kawaii Girly Gifts collection.
🖤 For the Gothic Cutie
Who they are: dark clothes, soft heart. They like their cute with a twist: skulls with big eyes, monsters with sharp teeth, characters that look like they're about to cry or cause trouble. Their favourite colour is black, but they'll make an exception for a pastel Labubu.
What to buy: SKULLPANDA, Labubu, Crybaby, Hirono, and Maymei. These are the Pop Mart "art toy" side of the hobby, with more detailed sculpts and a slightly older, edgier fanbase.
- Under €20: NINITA Witch Revelation Series Figure Blind Box (€19.99) is the most affordable way into Labubu, and the KUROMI Daylight and Moonlight Dreams Series Figures Blind Box (€19.99) is a proper figurine choice at a friendly price.
- Under €35: Lilith Forbidden Covenant Series Plush Pendant Blind Box (€22.99) or SKULLPANDA Petals in Four Acts (€24.99) are beautiful, moody figures with real display value. Maymei Dark Forest Series (€24.99) is for the friend who wants something no one else has yet.
- Splurge: SKULLPANDA You Found Me! Plushie Pendant (€39.99) or the Hirono Mist-Walker Plush Doll Pendant (€34.99) for a gift that feels premium straight out of the box.
The Cursed Cutie Lucky Bag (from €39.99) bundles the dark side for you. See the full Gothic Cutie Gifts collection.
🐾 For the Animal Lover
Who they are: they send you cat videos daily, they name every dog they pass, and they'd rather get a plush hamster than jewellery. Round, fluffy, and slightly silly wins every time.
What to buy: Mofusand (cats in costumes), Chiikawa (the little creatures taking over Japan), Azukisan (a very round hamster), Pokémon, and Smiski (glow-in-the-dark little green guys who hide in corners).
- Under €20: Chiikawa Acrylic Keychain Blind Bag Series 3 (€3.99) is the ideal stocking filler, and the Mofusand Nyanpantsu Gachapon Mini Figurines (€8.99) are tiny and adorable. Step up to Azukisan Magnetic Plush Pendant (€12.99), Pokémon x Funism Hippers (€12.99), or Sonny Angel × Mofusand Shrimp Meow Hippers (€18.99).
- Under €35: Chiikawa Pajama Party Plushie Mascot (€24.99) or a Pokémon Umbreon Doll Plushie (€26.99) for the Eeveelution fan.
- Splurge: the Mofusand x Sanrio Pastel Amusement Park Plush Pendant (€36.99) covers two fandoms in one gift.
Or let the Pawdventure Animal Lucky Bag (from €29.99) do the choosing. Everything lives in the Animal Lover Gifts collection.
🎌 For the Anime Fan
Who they are: they've explained the Jujutsu Kaisen power system to you at least twice. They have a favourite Hashira. They may or may not be in love with a fictional man from Love and Deepspace.
What to buy: licensed blind boxes from Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, Naruto, and Love and Deepspace. Chibi plush pendants are the safest choice because they look good on a bag, a keyring, or a desk.
- Under €20: ENSKY Jujutsu Kaisen Acrylic Keychain Blind Bag (€4.99) and the Love and Deepspace Heart Whispers Chibi Keychain (€7.99, choose Sylus, Xavier, Zayne or Rafayel) are easy add-ons. Jujutsu Kaisen Kaigyoku Sitting Series (€16.99), Naruto Kitten Land Plush (€17.99), and Demon Slayer Fuwakororin 9 Plush (€19.99) all land just under twenty.
- Under €35: Jujutsu Kaisen Sitting Cat Party Plush Pendant (€24.99) or Naruto Beast Party V2 Plush (€24.99).
- Splurge: the Level Up Anime Lucky Bag in the Sensei's Collection size (6 boxes, €89.99).

💝 For the Collector Who Has Everything
Who they are: they already own the series you were going to buy. They talk about "chase" figures and "secrets". Their shelf is organised by release date.
What to buy: don't compete with their collection; add to it with something they can't easily get. Three ideas that work:
- A limited edition: the SKULLPANDA Chapter VIII Limited Edition Figure (€59.99) or Covenant of the White Moon (€55.99) are single, numbered releases rather than blind pulls, so you know exactly what they're getting.
- A regional exclusive: the Hirono × Kodak Little Bear (€65, Korea exclusive) or the Chiikawa x Sanrio Mascot Plushie (€26.99, Japan exclusive) are hard to find in Europe.
- A full set: most of our blind box series have a "whole set" option that guarantees every regular figure, no duplicates. Ask us and we'll tell you what's currently available as a sealed set.
